Skin Tightening Through Collagen Stimulation
Sculptra® is an established biostimulatory treatment. Its active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), stimulates the body's natural collagen production, which gradually declines with age.
Following treatment, collagen regeneration is progressively activated and typically begins within the first few weeks. This can lead to improved skin firmness, elasticity, volume and overall skin quality.
According to manufacturer data, collagen type I production may increase by up to 66.5% within three months after treatment.
Sculptra® is considered a long-term approach to improving skin quality. Unlike traditional fillers, results develop gradually and can provide long-lasting improvement in skin structure and facial contours.
In addition to facial rejuvenation, Sculptra® Body can be used on areas such as the upper arms, buttocks, hips and thighs.

Treatment Procedure and Effects
Following application of a local anaesthetic cream, Sculptra® is injected into predefined treatment areas. The poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) contained in the product stimulates the body's natural collagen production.
For consistent and long-lasting results, treatment is typically carried out over several sessions at intervals of approximately 6–10 weeks.
Visible results are usually not expected immediately after treatment. Once any injection-related swelling has subsided, the effects of collagen stimulation generally become noticeable after approximately 4–6 weeks and continue to develop over the following months. Full results are typically achieved after 2–3 months.
With appropriate skincare and maintenance, results may last for up to 24 months.

Before Treatment
The use of blood-thinning medication should be discussed with the treating physician in advance. Alcohol consumption should be reduced as much as possible.
After Treatment
Temporary mild swelling or small bruises may occur.
For approximately 24 hours after treatment, intense physical activity, alcohol consumption and sauna visits should be avoided.
Contraindications
Sculptra® treatment should not be performed in cases of:
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Infections in the treatment area
• Allergies to ingredients of the product or the local anaesthetic used
